Proha PPM Elevate & Camako – A new era of project management

The project manager has realised that project management does not develop by itself unless there is a real need for it. If projects are seen as a tool for strategic business development, there is a need to develop project management and project business. Proha PPM Elevate provides a ready-to-use, modern technology solution that enables organisations to quickly and in a controlled way develop their project activities without unnecessarily heavy deployment. This concept combines best practices in project portfolio management with modern technology solutions – in particular the capabilities offered by Camako PPM 6.4.

What is Proha PPM Elevate?
Proha PPM Elevate is a service concept that helps organisations to adopt and develop project management solutions in a phased approach. Its four-step progression model enables organisations to select the right tools, deploy them in a controlled manner, consolidate them effectively and scale them up as required.

1. Find the right tools
Before deploying, it is important to assess your organisation’s needs and compare the potential of different tools. Camako PPM offers comprehensive functionality for project and work management in one single system, but you don’t need to implement everything at once. The aim of this phase is to outline what tools and integrations are needed to manage the organisation’s project portfolio, resources and tasks.

2. Deploy – Get the benefits quickly
Deployment is done in phases, allowing your organisation to reap the benefits quickly without taking on too much risk. Camako PPM can be integrated with Microsoft 365 and the Microsoft Project desktop tool, enabling flexible project planning and resource management. During implementation, the necessary integrations are implemented and it is ensured that users are trained to use the system.

3. Consolidate – Find an owner and build ongoing support
For a system to deliver real value, a credible owner must be found for its use. This person or team is responsible for ensuring that the solution supports the organisation’s strategic objectives and that it continues to be developed. Building a network of end-users is key at this stage – their role is to provide support to end-users and gather continuous feedback to improve usage.

4. Expand – Evolve and integrate
As organisational needs change over time, project management systems need to adapt. Camako PPM 6.4 supports iterative development and provides the ability to add new functionality using the Camako Platform low-code / no-code platform. New functionality and integrations with other business systems can be introduced in a controlled and phased manner.

Camako PPM 6.4 – Next generation project management
The latest version of Camako PPM 6.4 brings significant improvements and new features that make project management more efficient and flexible. The following new features in particular seem interesting and useful to the project manager.

🔹 RESTful API as standard – more efficient data export and integrations with other systems enables, for example, powerful Microsoft Power BI-based data analysis or Microsoft Fabric data publishing.

🔹 Improved Timesheet user experience – more flexible views and timer functions.

🔹 More advanced filtering and reporting features – more accurate analytics.

🔹 Read and write permission management – security and more granular access control.

🔹 New Fiscal Calendar for budgeting – adaptive periods and closing option.

Camako PPM can also be integrated with Microsoft 365 tools such as Teams, SharePoint and Power BI, as well as Microsoft Project desktop application. The Microsoft Project integration is particularly useful if an organisation wants to use it for scheduling, resource planning or to share project plans with or collect project plans from stakeholders.
