Proha’s History – Over 40 Years of Project Management Expertise and Development
Proha’s roots date back to 1984. From the beginning, the Finnish business focused on project management software, professional services and the development of customers’ project operations. Over the decades, Proha has helped organizations build better ways to manage demanding projects, resources, schedules, and costs.
In 1999, Proha was listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange. Its international growth accelerated the following year with the acquisition of the US-based software company Artemis Management Systems. As the group expanded into new markets and business areas, it later adopted the name Dovre Group.
In 2019, the Finnish project management consulting and software business was established as a focused company under the name Proha Oy. This brought the historic Proha name back into use and gave the business its own identity, organization, and direction for growth.
In 2026, Proha Oy became part of Navdata Oy. Proha continues to operate as an independent Finnish company and as an active project management software and professional services business. The ownership change was completed as a share transaction, ensuring that Proha remains the contractual partner and service provider for its customers. The company’s latest confirmed financial year, 2025, was profitable and its financial position remained strong.
Today, Proha combines its own Camako PPM technology, leading partner solutions and decades of project management expertise. For customers, this means continuity, familiar expertise, and a long-term partner for managing projects, portfolios, resources, schedules, and costs.
